I’ve got a copy of Black & White 1 (yet to have the time to finish it), so it makes sense to want a copy of the expansion pack. I’m going to make myself finish the game and the expansion pack before I get a copy of Black & White 2- by which time it’ll have gone through a price drop or two.
This is a little USB device that lets people use their N64 joypads on their non-console computers. So you can play any joypad/joystick compatible computer game with your N64 control pad. More importantly, it means you can play your legally acquired (cough cough) copies of the N64 games on your computer at a higher visual quality than on the dusty old N64 console you’ve got lying around. Playing console games on a computer makes it easier to cheat, or otherwise complete a difficult game. Some emulators allow you to use your own texture packs as well.
After my bad experience with you know who, I’m gonna be building it from parts.
I’m planning on getting the following components to go into the system:
I’m going to be making use of the ASRock board I got as a moving in present. Not going to be putting RAID in it straight away though. Unless Jess can convince me otherwise, I’ll be sticking an ATI X800 GTO in there though.
1x 74GB Western Digital Raptor SATA I drive for the OS, 1x 500GB Western Digital Caviar SATA II drive for storage, will be combined with future purchases to make the previously mentioned RAID array.
My experience with ISPs who’s service is offered via Tiscali- namely Homecall and Toucan- are that they are a bunch of unreliable cunts businesses.
If I’m going to be getting a premium SL account, and a premium flickr account, I’m going to need an ISP with a reliable connection.
