Currys came to deliver my dual-fuel cooker and my washing machine today (I was expecting to celebrate by sharing an oven-cooked pizza with my gf tonight- finally getting a chance to use the Homer Simpson pizza cutter), and it turns out that they can’t fit the cooker (or the eletric part at least) because there’s no spur box (something that apparently goes between the wall and the switch on the wall that seems to have been removed), and they can’t fit the washing machine because there’s no taps on the pipes and no suitable waste pipe outlet thingy.
Let me let out a sarcastic w00t.
I’m not sure how he got a hold of it, but it appears that Meldanen was keeping the chalice that Linu Laneral was searching for.
Desther always seems to be dismissing the evidence I bring to Fenthick, and the other things I’ve seen and heard during my stay in Neverwinter makes me suspect that Desther has something to do with the cult.
It seems that in an effort to prevent her life from being lost, that the dryad had charmed Meldanen. The sorcerer was glad to be rid of her.
Taking into account Samuel’s knowledge of Meldanen’s behavior, it seems he was imprisoned because Meldanen overreacted to him snooping around a little more than Samuel expected. Judging from the journal, it appears that Meldanen suspected Samuel of trying to take the dryad from him.
Meldanen and his minions seem to have awful lot of stuff- aside from the bellies of those disgusting Fire Beetles, so I’m having to “borrow” a crate in one of Meldanen’s storage rooms. This is because if I carry too much stuff, I won’t be able to sneak around as good, I won’t be able to run without making a noise, and I won’t be able to reload my crossbow as quick.
Seems that all the men I come across in the city of Neverwinter are one of three things:
It seems that Meldanen fits into the third, after reading from his journal:
I cannot get the dryad out of my mind. Thoughts of her are with me always. Today I tried to draw blood from her to fuel my experiment, and found I could not hurt her even that much. Has she enchanted me? Or am I simply lonely for such beauty? I cannot think clearly. Still she recoils from my touch… I must win her love, I must! I will not release her from the cage till she feels as I do!
Keeping that dryad locked up… what is he thinking ?
Either the sorcerer Meldanen is very stupid, or knows my team (Half-Orc and Dire Wolf) are here already and is simply lying in wait- hoping his minions will weaken me no doubt.
So I’m going through the Hodge estate, and the number of traps I’m detecting thanks to my deity keeps increasing to astounding levels. I came across his cook earlier, and it seems to me that someone must have tipped him off that Ophala Celderstorn wanted one of his valuable urns.
I feel a little guilty about doing it, but I’m just killing time with a little art theft before I go take go take on the sorcerer Meldanen. Took on too many guards at once and the Half-Orc died, so I had to use the Stone of Recall Lady Aribeth gave me. Being resurrected seems to make the henchmen too shocked to get back to me themselves.
